A diagnostic session includes DTC reading, with remaining time focused on the main reported fault. This may include live data, electrical checks, battery and charging checks, and investigation of engine-management, ABS, airbag or transmission warnings where appropriate. Mechapro brings the agreed work to suitable home and workplace locations, helping customers avoid a garage drop-off, waiting time and the need to arrange a lift. What the visit involves
For a known job, we review the vehicle information and the work requested before providing a clear quote and arranging an appointment. When the cause is not clear, we explain whether a focused diagnostic or inspection visit is a sensible first step. We do not treat every repair as a diagnostic booking.

Price and booking
Labour is charged at £90 per hour. Diagnostics start from £80 for up to one hour, with a £20 call-out or booking payment upfront. For repairs and servicing, the final price depends on the vehicle, parts and work required; request a quote before booking.
