Terms and Conditions

Terms & Conditions – Mechapro

1. About Mechapro

Mechapro provides mobile vehicle diagnostics and repair services in Luton and surrounding areas. All services are carried out at the customer’s requested location unless otherwise agreed.

2. Quotations & Estimates

All quotations are based on information provided at the time of booking.
If additional faults are discovered during inspection, further costs will be discussed and approved before work continues.

A quotation is not a fixed price unless explicitly stated in writing.

3. Call-Out & Diagnostic Fees

Call-out and diagnostic charges are payable regardless of whether repair work proceeds.

Diagnostic services cover professional fault investigation and testing procedures. A diagnostic fee does not guarantee a repair unless further work is authorised.

Where agreed, the call-out portion may be deducted from labour if repair work proceeds.

4. Parts Deposits & Advance Payments

Where parts must be ordered, full or partial payment may be required in advance.

Deposits taken for parts are used to secure and purchase vehicle-specific components. Once parts have been ordered, deposits are non-refundable unless the supplier accepts a return without restocking charges.

If a customer cancels after parts have been ordered, any restocking fees or non-returnable items will be deducted from the deposit.

5. Cancellations

Appointments must be cancelled at least 24 hours in advance.

Cancellations within 24 hours may result in loss of call-out charge or deposit.

6. Customer-Supplied Parts

Mechapro does not provide warranty on customer-supplied parts.

If customer-supplied parts are incorrect, faulty, or incompatible, additional labour charges may apply for refitting or removal.

We reserve the right to refuse installation of substandard or unsafe parts.

7. Warranty

Parts supplied and fitted by Mechapro are covered under the manufacturer’s warranty.

Labour warranty applies only to the specific work carried out and does not cover:

  • Pre-existing faults

  • Wear and tear

  • Unrelated mechanical or electrical failures

  • Failures caused by misuse or neglect

Warranty claims must be assessed by Mechapro before any third-party repair work is carried out.

8. Mobile Work Disclaimer

As services are performed outside of a workshop environment, certain environmental factors may affect repair times or conditions.

Customers must provide a safe, legal and suitable working area.

Mechapro reserves the right to refuse or suspend work if conditions are unsafe.

9. Payments

Payment is due immediately upon completion of work unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Mechapro is not VAT registered. All prices quoted are final and VAT is not applicable.

Failure to make payment may result in recovery action and associated costs.

10. Limitation of Liability

Mechapro shall not be liable for:

  • Hidden or pre-existing vehicle defects

  • Indirect or consequential losses

  • Loss of earnings or business interruption

Liability is limited to the value of the work carried out.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
